Swamiji, also known as Guruji, is a spiritual master that has been guiding students for four decades with depth, warmth and humour.

Swamiji is considered an authority on meditation and self-inquiry. He has written the best-selling meditation book, Happy for No Good Reason.

Swamiji was originally from New York. He went to India during the 1970s and there met his teacher Baba Muktananda who introduced him to the Saraswati order of teaching swamis. He later received the prestigious title Mahamandaleshwar, which means ‘great teacher.’

Swamiji headed ashrams in the US and Australia as well as organisations such as the Harvard Medical School, Melbourne and Monash universities as well as the National Gallery of Victoria.

Swamiji founded the Shiva School of Meditation and Yoga at Mount Eliza, Melbourne. He tours locally and internationally and will be in Noosa from August 17 to 25, 2013.
